Project Title

Strategic Plan and Growth Strategy

Client

Rugby Union South Australia

About the Project

Given that the Rugby World Cup will be held in Australia in 2027, RUSA have taken a proactive approach to ensure it can leverage off the the event and contracted One Eighty SLS to develop a strategic ‘Growth Strategy’ for the sport leading up to and after the event.

One Eighty undertook all consultation with the RUSA Board and member clubs and developed a vision of 5000 participants by 2027 (currently approximately 3000), which aligns with the National Sporting Body vision for its state sporting bodies.

One Eighty collected and themed findings into 7 key pillars and assisted stakeholders to develop aims, objectives and challenges with each via several workshops and meetings. This ensured ownership and acceptance by all and a strategy developed which will be owned and implemented by all stakeholders of the sport in South Australia

Client Manager

“Mark has supported Rugby Union SA in the consultation and development of our Strategic Plan 2022-2027.  He has a friendly level-headed approach that overcomes challenging situations, especially when it comes to stakeholder management.

The end result has been revolutionary for the organisation and stands us in a great position to capitalise on opportunities in rugby over the next 5 years.”
