Project Title

Murray Bridge Showgrounds Master Plan and Governance Options

Client

Rural City of Murray Bridge

About the Project

The showgrounds is a multi use facility located on the eastern side of the River Murray in the Rural City of Murray Bridge. The site is home to several user groups, many of which are associated with the annual show, and others that are sport or community focussed.

Plans have also progressed for the development a regional stadium with funding received to commence stage 1 works.

A key challenge of the site are the many individual users groups and the need for a more coordinated and consolidated approach to its management and future use. The aim of the projects was to take stock of existing infrastructures with a view of determining its fit for purpose, whilst optimising the sites overall use through a proposed staged development. Governance was also a key focus with One Eighty making recommendations regarding future management options.

Client Manager

One Eighty had a good understanding or the requirements for the Concept Plan from the outset. Mark’s experience was able to guide us through the process. He undertook extensive stakeholder consultation and took on-board feedback from a wide variety of stakeholders. Mark understands the Council landscape while maintaining a professional and flexible approach throughout the project. The resultant Concept Plan is a great foundation for future engagement with the stakeholder group.
