Blueprint Master Planning

One Eighty SLS was one of the first businesses to identify and plan holistically for a whole of council sporting precincts which takes a big picture approach to town or city-wide needs for sport and recreation.  This approach is a one tier higher than site specific master plans and based upon:

  • Carrying capacities of existing facilities and grounds

  • Current needs of sporting groups

  • Future needs (benchmarking)

  • Strategic alignment

  • Compatibility assessment of activities and sports within precincts

  • Geographical placement of precincts

This approach considers optimal location and compatible uses of district or higher classifications of open space.  Once this assessment has been undertaken, Councils can strategically plan and deliver site-specific master plans which lead to prioritised staging and development.  Examples of these projects include the following:

  • 2012 City of Whyalla Precinct Blueprint

  • 2012 Port Augusta City Council Precinct Blueprint

  • 2014 Port Pire Council Precinct Blueprint

  • 2017 Roxby Downs Regional Council Precinct Blueprint

  • 2021 Port Augusta City Council Facilities Blueprint Review
